Hearing loss
Closer to
the people you love
With Masterpiece
Not being able to clearly hear those around you
can leave you feeling cut off from the world.
With accurate diagnosis and treatment,
that can change.
The symptom may be the same, "I can't hear well," but
the type of hearing loss varies: sensorineural, conductive,
or mixed.
Its severity also differs from patient to patient,
ranging from mild and moderate
to severe and
profound hearing loss.
Masterpiece Hearing Loss Treatment
Knowing the cause points the way to a solution.
Cause 1.
As we age, the auditory nerve and inner ear structures degenerate,
which can lead to a gradual
decline in hearing known as age-related hearing loss (presbycusis).
Cause 2.
Long-term exposure to loud noise can damage the hair cells of
the inner ear,
causing noise-induced hearing loss. Construction sites, concerts,
and earphone use
are common causes.
Cause 3.
Genetic factors can cause hearing loss from birth,
and a family history also raises the risk of developing it later in life.
Cause 4.
Conditions inside the ear, such as otitis media, labyrinthitis, and otosclerosis,
can reduce hearing.
Cause 5.
Certain medications or toxic substances can damage the hair cells of the inner ear
and
cause hearing loss. Examples include some chemotherapy drugs, antibiotics,
and diuretics.
